The underlying purpose of the company’s Quality Management System is to add value to all its activities by applying a process-based approach.

Management Plans are prepared to identify specific quality, business and technical targets and to plan and define tasks and processes for meeting those specific targets. The Management Plans define purpose, allocate responsibility and authority, document the resources required, establish programmes and timescales and define the processes for measuring, monitoring and documenting progress towards achievement of the specific objectives.

Effective planning tools and readily-accessible documentation systems are provided to promote record-keeping, to maintain close communication between management and staff and to assist in dissemination of information regarding the tasks and processes contributing to achievement of Quality Objectives and Targets.

The company maintains a focus on the following Quality Management Principles:

Health & Safety An over-riding commitment to preventing occupational injury or ill-health by providing a safe and healthy work environment.
Client Focus A clear understanding of existing and future market needs, as well as the specific requirements of clients on projects (as well as the internal “clients” of company processes).
Managerial Leadership Strong and clear leadership qualities are promoted and encouraged at all levels to provide direction and unity of purpose. Leaders must earn and give respect, understanding and appreciation.
Involvement of Others Effective leadership relies on there being well-defined, measurable objectives towards which others can feel a commitment and involvement. Participation and consultation promotes involvement.
Process Approach Management effectiveness and efficiency are enhanced by the control and responsiveness of a process-based approach.
Systems Approach Business units function more effectively when there is a co-ordinated system in place to integrate the individual activity processes.
Continual Improvement The principle of continual improvement adds flexibility and responsiveness to change – keeps systems “up to date”.
Factual Approach Measurement of performance and achievement towards objectives provides factual data as a basis for decision-making.
Mutual Relationships Synergies and mutual benefits from associations with suppliers and other third parties are encouraged.
