Honeysuckle House Development

One of Newcastle's largest commercial developments where proximity to road and rail traffic posed potential noise and vibration problems

Honeysuckle House is a recently completed $20 million commercial office building. It is one of Newcastle's largest commercial developments providing 9,500 square metres of A-grade office space that will house 400 workers. The lead tenant is Sparke Helmore Solicitors. Heggies's involvement in the project was to:

1. Assess and control the impact of road and rail noise intrusion through building facades
2. Assess the potential vibration impacts of rail traffic
3. Assist in the design of a roof system to provide low internal noise levels during rain events for critical board room and client service areas
4. Develop the acoustical design of the plant room
