Experimental wind tunnel testing provides facade pressures for new residential tower.
Heggies was commissioned by Eastview Australia to perform an experimental wind pressure analysis on a proposed residential tower in Broadbeach Queensland.A study was performed by means of wind tunnel testing on a custom designed and manufactured scale model of the building. Hundreds of pressure transducers provided results which identified the critical areas with regard to facade pressures. The outcome of the study will enable structual designers to design the building both economically and safely.
