Background
David Lindsey is a company Associate
at Heggies Sydney Office with the
experience of over 20 years in acoustics and project
management.
David has a broad base acoustical
knowledge, gained from his experience and involvement
in a number of high profile projects. David has considerable
knowledge in environmental assessments, the design and
assessment of practical noise control measures along
transportation corridors (road, air and rail), construction
and tunnelling works, mechanical services, architectural
acoustics, land use planning and occupational noise
exposure.
David was recently on the Department
of Defence Estate Planning and Acquisition Panel, in
relation to providing the DoD with advice on acoustical
issues. He has undertaken formal training for aircraft noise modelling in the US and is fully conversant with all of the major environmental noise prediction methodologies.
He has a thorough understanding
of the working of the various Approval Authorities and
has prepared and presented expert evidence in Court
Hearings, Commission of Inquiries (etc) in Australia
and New Zealand.

David has responsibility for the design of noise mitigation measures (barriers and architectural treatments) for the M7 motorway
Preparation of Case Studies for inclusion into the new RTA’s Noise Management Manual. Several case studies were prepared for inclusion in the RTA’s Environmental Noise Management Manual, RTA 2001
Noise Impacts of Land Transport in New Zealand
David was employed by the policy division of Transit NZ as a international expert for input into the preparation of software to assist with understanding the acoustical implications of changing national emission levels
