Background
Shane Elkin is an acoustic consultant
with experience in environmental, architectural and
industrial noise assessment and control. In his nine
years with Heggies he has worked on
a number of environmental and architectural assessments.
These projects have included measurement and analysis
of noise and vibration emissions from construction and
manufacturing industries, materials handling, road/rail
vehicles and investigation of effects on people and
land uses including occupational noise and vibration
exposure studies, compressors, fans, pumps, engines,
motors, and other rotating and reciprocating machinery.
He is competent in the use of the SoundPLAN noise prediction
model and in developing noise contours for proposed
transportation systems and large industrial developments.
Shane has also presented findings in the Land and Environment
Court as an Expert Witness.
